Ich fühle mich jeden Tag wohler in CMC und auf ENT I. Die Logopäden und Logopädinnen dort werden immer offener und ehrlicher und bieten uns tatsächlich ab und zu von sich aus an, Kleinigkeiten selbst durchzuführen. Sie fragen uns, ob wir Ideen für Therapien haben und lassen uns wirklich überall zuschauen und dazwischenfunken. Wir lachen viel und herzlich, meistens jedoch über kulturelle Unterschiede und Missverständnisse denn unser Humor ist sehr verschieden.
Heute war das zum Beispiel so… Shipra fragt mich nebenbei, während sie ein Audiogramm abnimmt, in ihrem wunderschönen indish english: „Do you have sex at home?“ Ich war so was von baff. Glaube mein Mund stand offen. Habe noch mal nachgefragt weil ich mir einfach nicht denken konnte, dass sie das ehrlich gefragt hat und bekam die gleiche Frage. Völlig ernst. Ich konnte einfach nicht fassen, dass sie mich ganz offen und ehrlich anblickt und mich nach meinem Sexleben fragt! Also habe ich sicherheitshalber noch mal nachgefragt… Da brachen sie und Laveena in lautes Gekicher aus und wurden etwas rot und versteckten sich hinter ihrer Hand. Da war ich mir sicher und beruhigt – die Inder ändern sich nicht über Nacht. „Insects“ brachte sie zwischen zwei Prustern heraus. Naja… gut, Insekten… joa, die auch. Hat aber dann keinen mehr interessiert...
Meinen Geburtstag werde ich im Bus nach Bangalore verbringen (aber mit A/C und reservierten Plätzen – ich Tourist)! Wir fahren mit sechs anderen aus unserem Hostel hier gegen vier los und bleiben bis Sonntag in dieser Stadt in die man laut Lonely Planet nicht für Sightseeing reist sondern um zu shoppen und zu essen. Toll! Ich freu mich drauf. Soll sehr westlich sein, meine Chudidhars lasse ich zu Hause. Vielleicht finden wir eine Lounge in der ich ein Bier bekomme und wir auf meinen Geburtstag anstoßen können. Sonst tut’s auch Fresh Lime Juice =).

Gestern stand folgender Artikel in der "Deccan Chronicle Chennai", das muesst ihr euch mal reinziehen:
'Don't hug and misbehave', new directives by cops
In a major crackdown on couples who were getting cosy on the Marina beach, the city police picked up at least 22 couples on charges of indecent behavior in public. However, most of them were let off after their parents were informed about their children's behavior. A special team swung into action on Monday morning following instructions from the Commissioner's office. The team comprising an inspector, two sub-inspectors and constables including women personnel, in mufti (plain clothes) hurried to the beach and picked up the couples for questioning. When they spotted the police, many couples fled from the scene.
"Before the team reached the beach we had sent a few policemen who identified couples who were behaving indecently in public. Later the team arrived at the scene and detained them. When they were brought to the police station most of the girls were weeping and tried to mask their faces using a dupatta. The team also caught some schoolgirls during this surprise raid. When we questioned these girls they claimed that they had come to the beach to discuss lessons with their classmate," said a senior police officer.
He added, "The youngsters were let off with a stern warning only after their parents came to the station. We took this action based on instructions from the city Commissioner Mr G. Nanchil Kumaran and we will continue to do this until couples stop visiting the beach to get intimate."

According to police, they have been instructed to pick up the couples, who are getting a little too close for comfort on the beach, they will be monitored by the surveillance police personnel and be caught if they don't abide by these rules: Don't kiss in public; Don't wrap your body on your partners dress; Don't hug and misbehave; Don't slouch in the sand
